Four Rajasthani tourists enter the main gate at the Taj Mahal.
Photography is often a waiting game where sometimes the cards fall absolutely perfectly. On the day I chose to go to the Taj, admission was free of charge so the crowds numbered much greater than usual. That's why this photo is a bit more miraculous. I waited only an hour for the seas to part and my unwilling models to materialized out of the hodge-podge of package tourists and Indian gawkers.
Someone up there likes me!

This is the same tall guy from the silhouette in the photo above. I wish I can say I didn't stalk him all around the Taj Mahal complex... but I can't say that. He was hands down the most perfect model in Agra that day so I nonchalantly followed him until the moment was right. Finally, when the background fit the bill, I imposed myself on him and asked for some quick - several dozen - photos. Lucky for me, the kind man obliged and I have his unbelievably beautiful mustache on record.

That image with the 4 silhouettes is subtly brilliant. I drink it up.
Tatonka, my friend. I think it's one of my favorite photos of all time! Definitely top 10!
