As of the past several days, I've been in Taiwan building a strong enough set of photos to begin publishing local images on a daily basis. What am I doing in Taiwan, you ask? Pretty much the same thing I do everywhere, except this time, I'm being sponsored by the Taiwanese government in order to help spread the word on tourism in Taiwan. As a result, I've been sent to a remote part of Taiwan called the Matsu Islands, an island chain approximately 5km off the coast of China. Yup, you read that right. The islands are much closer to mainland China than they are to Taiwan and hence historically have a strong military presence. Over the coming weeks, I'll post daily photos of various area hotspots as I island hop around the Matsu archipelago.
